Our district is committed to providing a high-quality education for every child, regardless of where they live. Our families have the choice to enroll at their home-assigned/zoned school.
Summer Enrollment
2026 PreK- 8th Grade Summer Enrollment Dates & Times
Washington Township school buildings will be closed during a portion of the summer break. Parents/caregivers seeking to enroll students in grades kindergarten - 8th grade in any Washington Township elementary or middle school during this time frame may come to the above location on any of the dates and times listed in order to complete the enrollment process. No appointment is necessary! Please reference the district website here to access the list of items parents/caregivers will need to bring in order to successfully complete the enrollment process.

Enrollment for students in grades 9-12
Enrollment appointments available June 1-16 by appointment only. Parents/caregivers seeking to enroll students during this time frame should complete the online enrollment application here https://www.msdwt.k12.in.us/district website and reference the list of items you will need to bring in order to successfully complete the enrollment process. Once submitted, the North Central Counseling Office will contact you to schedule an enrollment appointment.
Open Enrollment Days (July 23 & 31) All parents and caregivers of students in grades 9–12 may also attend Open Enrollment at North Central High School on July 23 or July 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please enter through Door #1.

New Students: Step-By-Step Enrollment Instructions
Kindergarten Enrollment 2026-2027 School Year
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will open on February 9, 2026. Students must be at least five years old by August 1, 2026, to start kindergarten in August 2026. If your child turns five years old after August 1, 2026, and on or before October 1, 2026, you may submit an appeal for your child to be considered for kindergarten enrollment. Please see your home-assigned elementary school principal for more information regarding assessment for early admission. We cannot accommodate students with a birthdate after October 1, 2021, for Early Kindergarten enrollment. Please begin the New Student Enrollment Process below.

Use our "Find My School" locator tool to find and verify your school. You will enter your home address in the top left search box and it will return the elementary and middle school information. Note: If no home-school information is returned when entering the address, then the family’s residence is considered Out-of-District, and families interested in attending MSDWT should apply for Nonresident status.

Having all your documentation prepared in advance of registration will keep the process moving quickly. If you have a change of address, please notify your school. The following documents are needed to successfully complete the enrollment process:
- Immunization Records: See NOTE below
- Birth Certificate
NOTE: The Indiana Department of Health updates the School Immunization Requirements yearly. Please check the IDH website periodically throughout the year.

Section A- Current Mortgage Payment Book/Statement
- Homeowner’s Insurance Statement
- Current Property Tax Statement
- Warranty Deed
- Lease Agreement/Contract
Section B
- Current Utility Bill
- Current Paycheck Stub with Name and Address
- Government Document
- Current Bank Statement
- Current Bill
- Valid Indiana Driver’s license or State ID card with Current Address
NOTE: Shared residency families may be required to provide additional documentation.

Enrollment Option 1: Online (Skyward) Enrollment
- If you currently have a student attending Washington Township schools and wish to enroll a new student, log into your Skyward Family Access account and click on "New Student Online Enrollment" to complete the enrollment forms. If your child is a middle school or high school student, you must contact the school to set an appointment with a school counselor to select courses.
- For others wishing to enroll a student,create a Skyward account and complete the enrollment forms. If your child is a middle school or high school student, you must contact the school to set an appointment with a school counselor to select courses.
- Students must be at least five years old by August 1, 2026 to start kindergarten in August 2026.
NOTE: If you are not a resident of MSDWT according to our attendance boundaries map, the online enrollment procedures will be denied until your student has been approved as a Nonresident student.

Enrollment Option 2: In-Person
- Download, complete, and print the enrollment forms (below).
- Please contact the enrolling school for hours of operation. If your child is a middle school or high school student, you must contact the school to set an appointment with a school counselor to select courses.
- If you are unable to print the enrollment documents, please visit any of our schools for paper copies. Please note that enrollment documents are universal (not grade-level or school specific) so you can visit any of our schools to obtain enrollment packets.
- Students must be at least five years old by August 1, 2026 to start kindergarten in August 2026.

New Families will need to create a Skyward Account
Skyward gives parents the ability to track their student’s progress throughout the year. Parents can see missing work, grades, attendance, and discipline records, as well as access past report cards.
Complete the New Student Account Request Form to create a temporary Skyward account. An email will be sent to the address provided that includes a username, a password reset link, and a link to the Skyward New Student Enrollment Portal.
Already have a Skyward Family Access Login?
