Standard Registration Information

  • It is easy to find the school in your neighborhood using our "Find My School” locator tool, which features an interactive school attendance boundaries map.

  • This is a personal choice. Online enrollment may be completed at your convenience. For in-person enrollment, you need to contact your student’s school to schedule an enrollment appointment.
If your child is in middle school or high school, you will also need to contact the school to meet with a school counselor for course selection.

  • We compiled a list of required registration forms for new students on our enrollment page.

  • Yes, you may contact the building for a scheduled tour or check the school website for open house dates.

  • Parents/legal guardians should contact the appropriate school for enrollment/registration questions.

Nonresident and School Choice Registration Information

  • If you live outside of the MSDWT attendance boundaries, you may still apply to attend as a nonresident family by completing a Nonresident application.

  • If you move during the school year, your child may continue through the end of the current school year as long as they are in good standing (based on attendance and student code of conduct). You should update the school with your new address once you have a signed lease or purchase agreement.  You will be required to make application as a  nonresident student if you wish for your child to continue enrollment in Washington Township Schools for the following school year.  Questions should be directed to your school counselor.

  • Families are generally notified within two to three weeks of the end of an application window.  If approved, families generally have two weeks after notfication to complete online enrollment to secure their spot.  Details regarding specific notification windows are published on the Nonresident or District Limited Choice application web pages.

  • Students accepted at the elementary level will remain enrolled contingent upon their child(ren) maintaining attendance and behavior requirements as defined in Indiana Code 20-26-11-32.  Students approved at the elementary level will be required to reapply for nonresident approval when they reach middle school (grade 5 for upcoming 6th grade).  Similarly, students approved at the middle school level will be required to reapply for nonresident approval when they reach high school (grade 8 for upcoming 9th grade). Approved high school students are not required to reapply contingent upon their child(ren) maintaining attendance and behavior requirements as defined in Indiana Code 20-26-11-32.
